Anxiety-Free Sedation Dentistry

Some people feel so nervous or fearful about going to the dentist that they may refuse to make the trip at all. Not visiting the dentist can have a serious impact on your oral health and appearance.  Dr. Strange offer sedation, or sleep dentistry at his practice to relieve dental anxiety and make any procedure virtually pain free.  With our sedation dentistry options, the time you spend with us can be comfortable, stress-free, and pleasant!

Who Benefits from Sedation Dentistry?

Talk to Dr. Strange about sedation dentistry if you:

• Fear dentists or dental treatments

• Feel anxious about needles

• Dislike the noise and tastes associated with dental care

• Don't stay numb after Novocain injections

• Have a strong gag reflex

• May require extended treatment over time

Conscious Sedation Dentistry

Conscious sedation dentistry enables patients to enter a state of extreme relaxation without IV sedation.  Because people who feel especially nervous about visiting the dentist may not seek treatment, conscious sedation dentistry aims to make the experience acceptable to any patient.

With conscious sedation, you will take a small pill at your appointment.  We require you to have a responsible adult drive you to and from our office.  Conscious sedation only mimics sleep by putting you in an intensely relaxed state, but you will be able to communicated with Dr. Strange at all times.  During the procedure, we will constantly monitor your vital signs.  After the appointment, you will leave with a fabulous smile and little memory of your time in the dental chair.

Contact our practice for more information on sedation dentistry.

* Nitrous oxide is also available without sedation
